The Transport Department of the Velocity Interoperability Network today published the first timetables for the designated routes of the Network. The timetables come into force on Monday 7 September 2026 and set out scheduled passenger services on the three trunk routes and three regional routes, together with the goods paths available to permit holders on trunk, regional and service routes.

On weekdays, 208 passenger services and 30 goods paths are scheduled across the network. Passenger services on Routes A1 and A3 run every 30 minutes from early morning until evening; Route A2 and Route B2 run hourly; Routes B1 and B3 run every two hours. A reduced service operates on Saturdays, and Routes A1 and A3 alone run on Sundays. No timetable is published for Class D restricted routes, on which movements are arranged with the member named on the designating order.

The network as timetabled extends to 260 kilometres of designated route and serves twelve sites and facilities of member organisations. Goods paths are allocated to permit holders on application. Alterations to the timetable will be announced in the Newsroom at least fourteen days before they take effect, except where a route is closed at short notice for safety. The full timetables are set out on the Timetables page of this site.
