Transport Department of the Velocity Interoperability Network Established

The Transport Department of the Velocity Interoperability Network has been formally established. The Department is responsible for the movement of people and goods across the Network: the designation and upkeep of routes between member sites, the issue of transport permits, and the safe and orderly conduct of traffic on the routes it designates.

With its establishment complete, the Department today launches its official website at transport.gov.vin. The site will carry press releases, official statements, and guidance on routes and permits. An initial schedule of designated routes and the conditions attached to each class of route is published today.

Further announcements regarding the Department's offices, permit procedures, and points of contact will be published in the Newsroom as they become available.
